A hidden gem on the southern coast, Bundala National Park is a RAMSAR wetland where 197 bird species thrive alongside elephants and crocodiles. From November-March, the park transforms into a spectacular stage for migratory flocks including greater flamingos that paint the lagoons pink.

Bundala’s interconnected lagoons form one of South Asia’s most important wintering grounds for migratory waterbirds along the Central Asian Flyway.
